This directory contains two sets of examples. 'mpscript' subdirectory: The examples in this directory make use of the 'mpscript' program to automatically find MX and MP. 'mpscript' then automatically loads the default MX client database before passing control to a user provided 'main' function. The advantage of using this style of script is that it makes it easy to write scripts that can run on any platform supported by MP. 'simple' subdirectory: The examples in this directory demonstrate that MP based scripts can be very short if portability is not important. These examples assume that they are running on Linux/Unix with MX installed in /opt/mx.
